Stage and costume designer
Yann began his career as a Dancer, training at the Artes Centre of Amazonas in Manaus, Brazil. For over 15 years he worked as a Dancer with companies such as Ballet Stagium (Brazil), Companhia Portuguesa de Bailado Contemporaneo (Portugal) and Phoenix Dance Theatre (UK). Yann went on to train in theatre design at the renowned Motley Theatre Design in London.

Yaron Lifschitz’s, Wings of Desire ( Circa), Annabelle Lopez Ochoa’s Red Riding Hood, Arthur Pita’s Cristeux (Ballet Black), Tony Adigun’s Fagan’s Twist (Avant Garde Dance Company), Luca Silvestrini’s May Contain Food (Protein Dance company), Hélène Blackburn’s Concert Danse (Symphony Hall, Birmingham) and Hugh the Drover (New Sussex Opera at Cadogan Hall).
Film credits include Sean Spencer’s feature film Panic and the short films Palestine Lost, Consumed, Follow and The Confession (nominated for an Academy Award).
Yann’s movement director works include The BFG at the Birmingham Rep Theatre, I Was A Rat, based on the book of Philip Pullman directed by Teresa Ludovico and You Do It All Again, performed at Manchester’s Royal Exchange.
