PREMIERE! MOCUMENTARY THEATRE MULTIMEDIA DANCE PERFORMANCE based on the play written by A.V. Sukhovo-Kobylin
Special project of the IV Moscow International Biennale for Young Art, parallel program of MANIFESTA 10 and Media Forum within Moscow International Film Festival
Topical issue of modern society – protection of personal data, social responsibility, or irresponsibility – is the key theme of the performance. With the advent of mass media flood of information became like a real flood. Non-stop filling information space with reality and its simulation caused devaluation of unique event. It appeared and, then, in a moment, disappeared in ocean of information. It becomes more and more difficult for people to look about this flood of information, to see objective, to evaluate their position in society and to build up private life. One event changes another, devaluating each other.
Tarelkin’s Death is research performance, investigating illusive possibilities of our body and brain, human identity in break of space and time.
